powersteering question
On a vehicle that has power steering, if a guy wanted to have manual steering could he just remove the pump, and turn the vehicle manually? Or would he have to convert to rack and pinion? Im just curious, what would happen if it would hurt anything.... don't worry I'm keeping my power steering in my 69

If you run power steering box without the pump on the road and it has fluid circulated through it... that thing is gonna pump out its fluid while you turn and seize up and die. Which if you have the rare bronco box is not what you want to do with that.
Manual steering boxes are packed with grease which allows them to operate on the road.
If you mustang has ram assist PS, you can just remove the ram.
