I am trying to get the front axle shaft out so I can replace the u-joint and stub shaft (P/O busted it) .I have got the hub and the 2 odd shaped nuts off and can see the outer bearing .I can not get the rotor and the rest of the hub to remove from the spindle .By the way this is a 79 f-150 with a D44 . Thanks in advance for ant help.

Just a dumb question, but did you remove the caliper? It won't come off if that's still in place. If it's off, and the lock nuts are out, just give it a good rap on the back of the rotor with a rubber mallet, the bearings might be a little tight in the race, and the rear seal sometimes gets stuck on there.
is there any grease on it if not it might have spun the race on the spindle if that has happened it could be a pain to get off the best way use a hammer give it a few taps
there is a little groove in the spindle that sometimes hangs up the bearings. Take a chisel and tap the bearing around a few times then they usually come out. A BFH to the back of the caliper bracket usually frees it all up.
