crank questions

Broke a crank in my 76 ford pick up pulled the motor to find a 1980 eoae d3c motor purchased a new crank based on old crank numbers 2mae parts guy says its from an 83 302 I need to know if flywheel part number c5ae 6380 e is the right balnce for that externally balanced 302 HELP &%$#@!*&

This is the 2009 F150 forum.....try posting in the correct forum and someone there should be able to help you. Hopefully a moderator will move it for you!

Crankshaft

It sounds like you have a later engine with the 50 oz in unbalance since that's what the crankshaft corresponds to. In which case the C5AE flywheel you mentioned is wrong because it's 28 oz in.

All production 302s and 5.0s are externally balanced.
