I have a number of scanned image files saved in the .ALBM file format that is associated with HP. I can find no way at all to convert them to JPGs.. I need to store them in a common format. Anyone?? help...
Try irfanview to change the format. I am not sure if irfanview supports albm format but I have not found a format that the program has not been able to convert.
There are many options available for resizing, simple editing, watch videos ect. Irfanview is a free program that has been around and updated for many years. Watch close during the install as the program is bundled with google desktop and search which you can choose to NOT install.
HP was clever, no way to save under a different file type within their program that I can see... I tried Konverter 3 times, it claims to deal with ALBM files, but gives an error, not recognized message when I try..
If that doesn't work I think you will have to contact HP.. I tried a few tech sites and could not find anything definite on the subject..
My daughter has that software on her laptop and it appears you can view albums.. If all else fails you can email the file to me and I can see what i can do with it..
I'm guessing that since the extension is '.albm' that it stands for "album" (I know, I know, that was a huge mental leap), which means the file is intended to hold more than one picture (even if it only holds one). You probably need to find a way to break the file down within the HP software so that you can save individual pictures in their own respective files, rather than grouped into one file. Then 3rd party converter software may work.
