I did an internet search, seems individual experiences were mixed.
Thinking more about my dual TB idea, would require my hacking the TB side of the intake completely off.
Figured I could align the new plate/tb's with pins, then use the alumaloy to make it permanent. I know nothing about joining two metal pieces...I can mig weld a little but thats where it ends, is there another alternative? The idea of being able to use a propane torch is attractive, and perty much what Im limited too...although I might be able to find someoe willing to work with me, that has an acetalyne torch, Im not counting on it though.
Its not as easy as it looks-Alumaloy is more of a solder and soldering than anything else. I suppose that if you had a good deal of experience in welding you could do it, but aluminum is very trickey to weld. Have some one tig weld it for you.
Dont think there would be enough material on the outter edges to drill and tap, I thought about that, matter of fact it was part of my least expensive plan, which was to have tabs welded at key points, then do as you described.
