Nice truck. Pics help out alot. I'd have to agree with Ben also. Like I said in another thread, it all depends on the target market. But, with fuel prices these days, not many people are going to spend a whole lot on an old truck.
People cant even give away their trucks down here in souther B.C. Gas has hit $1.46/L out here, and is it ever expensive even to take my old girl out to the grocery store. Im never gonna sell it, but ive seen less and less trucks on the road due the the higher gas prices.
how come the value has gone down so much? is it just because of gas?
I'd say pretty much also. These trucks just drink the gas. No one wants a gas guzzler and on top of it, an old truck that drinks gas. These trucks are hard to use as daily drivers and one nice like yours, someone probably won't buy it as a daily driver, but don't want to pay that much and just let sit either. Sometimes you'll get the right buyer that really wants an old truck but don't want to have to stick a ton of money in and will buy a truck like yours. Also, these highboys are built like tanks and are not very smooth to drive, so that again can hinder people's buying of a truck.
thanks for all the replies
i guess im gonna just keep her and do my tbi conversion to try and get up the mpgs, which is around 6-8 right now, pretty sad when you think about it an 800hp nascar gets around 8, and huge semi gets about 6
