I guess I'm spoiled, but for the last 20 years, my vehicles have had ATC or at least a thermal interlock on the heater so that it doesn't blow until it can provide heat. My 2001 F150 has neither.
Has anybody put a thermo switch in the "floor" position of the mode selector switch? Alternately, is it within the realm of possibility to retrofit an automatic temperature control from a 2002 F150 Lariat or maybe a Navigator?
