My CCV no longer vents into the intake, I ran it down and it now vents underneath the truck. I no its not cloged because when the engine is smoking bad the white smoke is also coming out of the CCV line.
i still think you have a groove scratched on one of your cylender walls that might create the burnt oil smell and the oil level down to the add level hope it isnt that problem
I have to agree... Unfortunately what you have explained so far is exactly how my truck started to go down hill... You said earlier that you had a cold air kit and unless its AFE i just don't trust reusable filters on these trucks... Now as you can see in my sig. shes getting a new motor...
Your next best bet is a compression test... That will tell you if you have a bad cylinder... Good luck!
I think a compression test was done and I believe all cylinders checked out good. I do have a contact at ford that will help me with a injector buzz test.
It could be that is still were your problem is if a seal didn't work right. Do you have any oil on or around the turbo housing?
I dont see any oil around the base of the turbo where it bolts to the turbo pedistial, but I do see oil (in the valley) on top of the intake manifold, but I think that is from when the turbo was pulled or the when the injector were pulled. I will verify this today.
Well the smoke stopped and I am relieved. I did discover I do have some blow by comming from the CCV but as far as white smoke comming from the exhaust pipe no more. one day I will probabley have to replace the rings but as far as now the truck is running good.
Just to clarify, there should always be a mist of oil vapor coming out of that hose. As long as you take the oil fill cap off, and the mist is a constant stream, thats GOOD. When you go getting a puff puff puff pulsing action, thats BAD.

With the oil cap on you are saying there is suspose to be some smoke and comming out of the vent on top of the driver side valve cover. I just want to clarify or is it when i remove the oil cap that it is suspose to smoke.
