I am wanting to purchase a set of Bilstein shocks for my 2000 F250. When I called Autozone the gave me part # BE5-2819 for the rear shocks. when I called eshocks they gave me part #BE5-C296-HO for the rear shocks. The best I can tell from onlline is that the 2819 is for an F350, but I'm not 100% sure. Does anyone have the 2819 on the F250, and if so, do they work ok?
Bilstein.com references the same part number that eshocks gave you. I personally would go that route. They make them, they should know what fits best. Just my .02
A little OT but thought I would chime in also,,,, I have a few Glocks as well a 17, 19 & a 34 , My newest one is a custom all SS competition Glock based off a 17L, with a SS frame from CCF & a SS slide from Caspian & a Lone wolf barrel. Now I just have to decide what color to make it ...... Or just leave it all natural stainless.
Thanks Jay, I just thought that maybe the 2819 was the original replacement and then they came out with the C296 for a softer ride or something. What was weird was Autozone shows the 2819 to be the replacement.
If you go to the Shockwarehouse website and punch in all your info, that will help you out a little more. Compare. I run on my 03 SD BE5-2818-HO up front and BE5-C296-HO for the rear. With my year that included the FX model also.
they both use the same front shock..the F250 rear has a smaller block under the spring then the F350 has.it sits a little lower so it takes a diff shock..if you put in the bigger block on you F250 then you will need the shock for the F350......
Will they work if you don't change the blocks, or will it make the truck sit high in the rear? I would use them if it would work since we will be towing more frequently, but if it raises it to much it might not work.
