James Taylor in Saskatoon
Taylor will not be in Winnipeg, but will be in Saskatoon . July 11th if I recall. He wrote and sings Sweet Baby James, Fire and Rain, Carolina in my mind, You got a friend and a lot more. Wrote songs for the Beatles.
My wife and I went down to Minneapolis a few years ago when he played to a sold out house at the Target Centre.
He was great.
He probably appeals more to baby boomer generation.
On July 11th we're going to a Mark Knofler concert in the 'Peg.

I'll let you know hoe the Knofler concert goes, don't know if he's coming to Sask. BTW, Knofler is a big classic car enthusiast.

I don`t know if I would ever go to a live concert again or not, I`m not into really big crowds.
Nancy was all disappointed she couldn`t get Elton John tickets but I didn`t lose any sleep over that....
I have a large record collection, CD`s, DVD`s plus there`s always U-Tube and sites like LimeWire for free audio down loads.
We have been to concerts over the years including Alabama, The Bellamy Brothers, Asleep At The Wheel, Billy Joe Royal, Ian Tyson, Leroy Van Dyke, Steve Earl, etc.
There used to be some great entertainment come to town in the local night clubs but that dryed up.
I don`t know if I would ever go to a live concert again or not, I`m not into really big crowds.

Things maybe turning around for Sask.
I heard today, that Saskatoon and Regina beat out Winnipeg for the World Hockey Juniors.
With the James Taylor concert in Saskatoon, same day as Knofler, I think if my wife and I had known , earlier, that Taylor was going to be in Saskatoon, we might of got those tickets instead and driven down.
Lately Saskatchewan seems to beating out the 'Peg for big draws. I have a feeling things have been going down...big draw entertainment wise....since Regina beat out the Bombers for the Grey Cup.
I'll give you a report on the Knofler concert. Years ago we had a cassette tape which featured Mark Knofler and Chet Atkins. We pretty well wore it out....two great guitarists, on one album, hard to beat.
