Good morning FTE folks!
Welcome back Sharon! Unless it`s really buried under alot of snow you can throw some diesel fuel on that brush pile, let it soak in before you light it and it should burn nicely. I`ve done that with afew of mine.
Gee Morris you must have more spare change than me if you can afford to use diesel fuel to start a fire! I waded out this afternoon and the snow is way above my knees.... There's a good foot of it sitting on top. I think if we shovel the worse of it off the top, we should be good. Besides, I don't think the neighbours would like the black smoke from the fuel

It doesn`t take alot of diesel to burn a brush pile unless the snow is too deep or or the pile is really wet, when it`s burning there`s isn`t any black smoke.
Good afternoon gent's. Kalan played goal today and won 12 - 4, he likes it I don't need another goalie in the family $$$$$$$$$$$$$ I think I'm going to have to bribe him somehow. Now it's time to blow the rink off. There has to be at least 2ft of snow on it. Have a great day guy's and gal's.
Well the endless rain here has turned to snow this morning. It is so much better. I have to R&R the heater core in the bronk today. Should take about an hour. Ford sure made it easy on this one. I don't mined working in the snow as I can just brush it off. Not so with the damn rain.

Managed to get it done without the diesel fuel. Lucky there was some jack pine in the pile and when I shovelled off most of the snow, it didn't take too much to get it going. But I had lots of smoke!. Hardest part was trying to get around in the snow! It's just the end of Jan and we have more already than we have had in quite a few years.. Maybe that's why I haven't seen much of my hubby....
Hi Sharon, I'm ex rail road but I guess you know theres a big air force base here eh.....
I'm sure you know there's lots of military and retired vets there. Figured you might be one of them but I was wrong. I'm retired military and was just asking in case we had ever crossed paths.

I use diesel fuel to keep smoke down, lots of heat means the pile dries up faster so less smoke.
We have lots of snow here too, at the start of every winter I push the snow way back to leave lots of room for the rest of the winter.
