its good to have a getty moderator! the happier the better. glad you did morris. its good to see laura and sherm back. now if prep would come on here it would be good. me and erin sat under the tree yesterday while it was raining. that was cool. i like that. and i can have a cigarette with out bothering anyone. sunday morning we had a deer on my porch. i have a buddy buck that does that. he doesn't hurt anything. scared the hell out of me and the cats. but he's really gentle. even tho he's 500# buck. has a good personality. i can pet him and he's growing antlers. getting big! its wild. that was no dream! it was very real! for some reason he likes us! go figure!

Ha,ha ! Well I start a new job next Monday, so my schedule will be more organized.

I am so excited about it, it's taken me 10 yrs to get to this point. I will be trained to operate a Cat 777 Haul Truck, working for KMC Mining, through the Operating Engineers Union, at Syncrude. After about 6 months, I am eligible to be hired by Syncrude directly. This position alone, is a raise of $11./per hour, working 12 hr shifts, of 5 days, 5 nights, and 5 off. No rain out days like now.

So with winter looming, I will definitely be here a lot, as my poor old ford truck is in for another year of driving in this god forsaken north country, lol. You will get sick of hearing from me

Ok Morris, here goes. Well the exhaust manifold leak I had, has been fixed, no crack like everyone said, just 2 loose bolts!!! New plugs and wires, and distributor cap increased my mileage. Now there is a funny whining sound, coming from close to the driver's side firewall. It only happens when it's first started up, lasts a few minutes then stops.

I still have the electrical problem from last year, where if the heater is on, the turn signals don't work! this summer I replaced all the fuses, including the round flasher one twice - within a week - all had blown. That was late July, no problem yet.

So, am I off to a good start? Either way, I'm off to bed, 4:30 comes early. Have a good night all.

That`s a nice friend to have Jack, I love nature`s gifts too.
Yep, that`s a good start Laurie.
That funny whining sound maybe be an exhaust leak, once the manifold warms up it expands and seals up tight, on a cold morning you might be able to see where it`s leaking.........if that`s what it is.
In winter you`ll need the heater more than the turn signals.

Jack, I agree with Morris, he's a nice friend to have. Got any pics?

Morris, thanks for the tip, I'll check in the morning or two. Regarding the heater vs signals -I agree.

G'nite - again

Just as I got off working it got real cloudy, almost dark and the wind really came up so not a good time for a ride, hopefully the wind dies down for my evening ride.
