Doesn`t seem to be a lot going on in the last few weeks.......maybe it`s just me.
I've noticed that I wasn't getting any email alerts, and thought maybe it was me, as well. Glad to know it wasn't my computer acting up, again.
My excuse is I have been working very long hours, 6 days a week, added to crazy puppy attention, (doesn't allow me 5 mins. of peace once I get home from work).
I guess I'm just a bit more addicted to sports, especially since it is being held in my home town of Vancouver. I love the scenery, and I've skied at Whistler, Cypress, and lived in richmond, so it is a bit more personal I guess. My family all live there, and they say the electricity in the air is over whelming.
I wish stock car racing was an Olympic event Jack, then I`d find the Olympics alot more interesting!
Since you`re from Vancouver I can see how that would be alot more interesting for you NG. Unfortunately I`m not into skiing or most of the other events...
I thought you liked hockey??? What about curling, isn't that a big Sask event.? Don't you like to seepeole go head first down a huge, fast hill in a bobsled, crashing into walls, and hanging onto their helmuts, wishing they had shares in Tylenol?
Hockey and curling are the main ones I`m interested in.
That was very unfortunate in the lunge event where that young guy lost his life during a practice run.
You're forgiven. Funny, many years ago I had the opportunity to buy land in Whistler, but the ex husband said "why do you want to own land there, it's nothing but mountains"? Now you know one of the reasons he is the ex! What a fool I was, should have gone with the gut feeling and bought anyway. One of the most expensive areas in Canada now!

That was vey sad. He was so young, and not a good start to the world events. I wondered why they didn't haveall the poles padded? We might not have heard the last of that!
I didn`t think the design of that track was safe but then what do I know......
I`m now finally getting live coverage of the men`s curling so I`m off to watch the end of it!
