hi all,
my plans to go trucking got shot down in flames.. without my dad, there's no trucking company out there that will hire a green driver. and i don't have the money to go to truck driving school. and besides the industry has slowed way down. and my dad sold his truck.... thats why i gave up on that idea and went back to what i do best fixing them. and the chevy van i scanned showed an open curcuit on the fuel trim. which means no pressure at all. so for some stupid reason either the pump stopped working or the ECM took a dump. i'll have to pull it down and check to see if i getting voltage to the pump. and if i am getting 12vdc to the pump, it went south. and its new.... less than a month old.

i'll give you one piece of advice, comming from me, a new dad just a year and a half ago... don't listen to any advice from anyone. everyone who's raised a kid figures they know how to do it, but the truth is, they're all different. you gotta figure it out for yourself. congrats, and i hope your first one is as good to you as our first was/is!!!!

sherm,
thats really good and thoughtfull advice. but its true. and being a step dad is worse.
because they will put you threw hell until they figure out no matter what they do to you
or what type of crap they pull you have to put up with it and stand your ground otherwise they win and your out. and i have 22 year old stepsons. 1 is here with us and the other is in the army. and their twins. i think the reason for that is they're losing their
mom to me. and teenagers can be really mean and abusive at times.
i guess my bottom line is teach them while their young.
joe thats why i went back to turning wrenches, i may even enroll in diesel school again.
and renew my a.d. again. seeing how i'm unemployed. i now qualify for tech school. i never was before so monday i go and enroll.

I heard through the grapevine they charge you something like 500 bucks if you touch one and they have to come fix it, ouch!

depends on the guy who gets called i think. i know just last week a bobcat guy ripped the main service off a house i was working on, put the power off for a block, and it was 8:30 at night. saskpower guy comes over, fixed it up, but never charged a cent, just said don't do it twice in one night...
