There will be another 1-2 months of spending and no rent coming in so I guess we're about even there but hopefully with decent renters it`ll get better. I keep thinking of all the things we want to do to on our house but for now that'll have to wait.

I hope you are right John but I know that it will take a while. If it wasn't my birthplace I would have even more second thoughts about redoing it back up, lately it seems that even half renters don't really exist any more..

It's good if you get good renters and take care of it. I think if I had a rental property I'd give the renters a free months rent as a bonus if they kept things up. Makes them feel good and gives you piece of mind..

In the last 3 yrs it doesn`t seem many decent renters to be found, I`ve given up and turned this property over to a rental agency. My other rental house has really great guys living in it for past last 3 years, they may not take the best of care of the place but they are pleasant and have never wrecked anything.

$1,100 for the problematic on and $1,400 for the other. Both have garages, are minutes away from Saskatoon on a beautiful tree filled spot. I live in immediate the area, it`s my heaven on earth.

Good morning everyone, we had a thunderstorm pass over early this morning and still very overcast this morning. I have a 5 hour trip to make today so I get my MRI tomorrow morning.
That's a very handy retirement income Morris, wish I had invested in some rental properties when I was younger, it sure would help out now...

Happy Monday all. Got the deck cleaned. I bought some parts for my truck from a friend who's building a nice 56 truck. I just got small parts, fender braces, door hardware, and new full glass window channel's. Now it's time to make pasta sauce for supper. John: Make sure you put clean underwear on for your doctor appt. Have a great rest of the day guy's.

Morning boys!! We had a little thunder and a sprinkle of rain last night. Everything will be growing this morning!! Supposed to be chances of rain for the rest of the week now. I don't mind. All our work is inside at the moment.

John, I hope your apt goes well. Safe travels to and from it!!

Renters can be a blessing or a curse it seems. I don't understand why some people feel the need to wreck things and be messy individuals. I helped a buddy put some work into a small revenue home a few years back. The first renter in there was awesome. Left the place looking just as they had found it, and if I remember correctly, they may have given a fresh coat of paint on their own dime before leaving. The next renter in there cost my buddy close to 10g by the time we were done fixing damages. Its not that they were party animals and destroyed stuff on purpose, but just neglectful stuff. Sliding pots across the counter and scratched them to pieces. Scratched the walls, bumps and dings in the walls everywhere, cat scratches in the doors, broke the glass shower door, etc. Little things that one could say "***** happens" but at the same time, they shouldn't if a person gave an ounce of care to how they lived.

I plan to collect or build revenue properties for my retirement fund, but they will be "tuxedo suites". Elite renters only. Extremely screened and selected.

Have a great day boys!! Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, you'd better be handy!!!
