basic bronco information for a noob

My friend is looking into buying a bronco. What should he keep an eye out for while shopping? What are the usual rust spots? etc? I dont know a lot about broncos (I usually stay in the 7.3 forums). Thanks for the help yall.

If you have not done so, do a search on this Bronco forum as this subject has be addressed several times. Usual first rust spots are near the bottom of the tailgate outside and just above the rear wheels on the outside.

greystreak92 has a boatload if FAQs at So, a long time ago I started this little project called FAQ

I forgot to mention. Many stores have a black and yellow code reader and book for about $35. Pull the codes...might be some bargaining power there.
