Just wondering if the "flip forward" middle row seat can be removed? The only reason I ask is that my 16 year old son is 6'3" and needs some leg room. His idea is that he can have the back row to himself away from his 2 other brothers, but if he can't sit comfortably then it may be a wash.
Thanks for all the responses to my seemingly endless list of ??'s...
Yes you can. Mine is removed most of the time. I usually only take out the passenger side middle row seat and leave the wider, driver's side middle row seat in. That allows easy access to get in and out of the rear seat area and still leaves a nice wide seat for 1 person in the middle row.
There are four bolts that hold each of the middle row sections. They are a Torx hybrid that requires a special socket, but some people (including me) have been able to coax them out with a regular Torx socket. If they have never been out before, soak them well from underneath with penatrating oil or even clean them up with a wire brush if you can get to them because they will be rusty.
I am also 6'3" and I have no problem in the 3rd row. You just have to make sure that the 2nd row is not reclined. If I'm back there I usually sit sideways for comfort.
