Terry,
I've got Oldtimer's Disease, which thread was that. What were we talkin' about???
I dont remember the name, and cant find it either, maybe someone smarter than me will find it for us It has some nice lookin shops in it. As for you building another shop building, mine is 30x40 that I have now. It wasnt too bad til I bought all the machine tools. That coupled with all the projects makes it kind of small at times, but I do love my shop!! I have a bathroom, satelite TV, 4 post lift, and eventually a hotwater heatet.(not hooked up yet)

[quote=dave boley;6301555]...The wife takes it all pretty well, but she says things like, "I guess I don't have to feel bad about buying a $1,600.00 sewing machine." I can never quite figure her motive out considering she has her own money. I guess it's a good thing she hasn't seen my want list. quote]
Aren't those the kind of Sewing Machines they make Seat Covers and Body Bags out of.......?

No, you still need material... I'm not sure what you make out of sewing machines other than clutter after they are no longer the latest and greatest model. Last count, I think we were up to five or so of them. Oh I almost forgot, they make great door stops and toe stubbers...
Did anyone else see the "I missed it completely" plane fly right over Dave's head?
.....Wife takes it well......don't understand her motives....good thing she hasn't seen my want list....BODY BAG!!!!!!!
Been any "talk" around the sweat shop lately?

I saw it... I just decided to go for the weak spot. Isn't there a thread going here about proof reading? (That was the buzzing sound you heard going by.) After all, your point was moot you know. She doesn't want to get rid of me, just my stuff. She said if she ever won the lottery, she wanted me to build a big shop building close to home but out of sight and take all my stuff and put it there, but I can still stay in the house. Something about lawn care and vehicle maintenance... And, BTW there hasn't been any sweat in the sweat shop lately either, but she did say she liked the way I fixed the place up. If she ever does sweat, I will certainly document the event. I did se her break a few beads in Arizona a few months ago, but that doesn't count.
when my wife was asking for the big $ sewing machine, I only asked one question.
"will it sew leather?"
saleslady said yes, and so did I.
wife looked at me funny and I says,
"I need interior on the F-100!!!"

Like I said, she's got her own money so she doesn't ask me for permission. I think it's just that she is such a tight wad that she doesn't want to let go of her or my money. She already has one machine that will sew two wooden yard sticks together, so sewing leather isn't a problem. The machine in question was a second conputerized embroidery machine. She already has one of those too. This one is supposed to do something the other one doesn't. She's still debating with her tight side about it. Some guys talk about their wife spending all their money. That's not a problem kere. It's more a matter of being the reverse. Whenever she asked my my opinion I always say go for it.
I think you missed the point of the previous post.
You might make a body bag with a sewing machine but it would be difficult to make a body bag out of a sewing machine.
Original point was I was teasing Dave about his list of projects and keeping his wife in a sweat shop, and maybe her "secret intent" was to get rid of him (and I know better Dave). It's kind of an old inside joke between Dave and myself.
