i have an 03 CC f-350 powerstroke. out of the blue the turn signals stopped working. nothing lights up on the dash, no clicking sounds, nothing front or rear. the hazards also do not work. any ideas?
both fuse 27 and 18 at fine. i did however hear a clickclickclick click sound when i plugged fuse 18 back in. sounded like it came from the stock ford security system box. or at least in that area
There is an auxilary relay box 1, under the dash behind the glove box. Inside there is a flasher relay. Coming out of this flasher relay is a lightblue for the turnsignals, and a white/red for the Hazards. Both of these should have power with the key in run. If they do, then I would start suspecting the turnsignal switch, or Ford calls it a multi-function switch, inside the column.
Speaking of which, try moving the tilt column up or down, and try the signals. If they start trying to work, sometimes the wiring is pulled too tight inside the column, and a plug gets pulled loose. You can take wire ties and tie the plugs back together if this turns out to be the problem.
