rear turn signal problem
my rear passager side turn signal and brake light aren't working. changed the bulb and nothing. wiring seems okay. All the others are working fine. anyone have a clue as to what it might be?

Could be a bad connection in the turn signal switch. The front and rear turn signal wires coming from the switch are separate. Brake lights run through the switch. You can probe the wires at the base of the steering column to see if you have power there. (Near the curved connector) According to the wiring diagram in my haynes book, right rear turn signal should be the green wire ('74-'79 trucks)

on the driver side of the firewall, between the hood hinge, and the master cylinder is the main wiring harness plug. check to see if one of the wires is broke. i want to say it is the top wire on the master cylinder side.
this is the first place i look when the passenger side rear brake turn light goes out.
of the last 6 i did, 5 had that wire broke.
