I recently bought a CD kit called the Sound Xplode, it's made by Sony, and it features a 1 second anti skip memory. (example of quality)> I was playin' a SRV CD one day, when I hit a huge bump while offroading, it put my '82 stepside 2X4 into a 3' jump, (not exaggerating) and the CD never even skipped, after the harsh landing. I have tried intentionally several times to make it skip, and it won't. It has decent bass coming out of your choice of two 6X9's or two 6 1/2's. I have the 6 1/2's, and they sound great. By the way, I only paid $120.00 for the whole kit. The only thing that i would recommend when putting in any sound system, is to SOLDER!!!!!!!!!! I can't stress enough the differance between soldering, and old fashioned twisting.
Hope this helps, with you frugal guys out there like me, who are concerned with power, not sound!
I got mine from WAL-MART for only $120.00!
unfortunately, I've only seen this great dal at wal-mart, but I hope this helps! Belive me, you'll be amazed by how much this little cd player can put out. And, if you have a nice looking original truck, the cd player is all black, and doesn't stick out anywhere. It's super easy to install, and it looks like original equiptment! anyhow, hope this helps you out!
