I have a question that has puzzled me for a while. when i put a cd that has been sitting outside in the cold into my cd player every time the sub hits nice and hard it makes the cd player skip.
a friend of mines car does the same thing so i dont want to blame it on my cd player.
the trick is to put a cd in fron to of a heater vent for a minute and warm it up before putting it in.
what the difference of a warm cd over a cold cd when it comes to how good it plays?
my only guess is the cold might make the cd shrink just enough to set the lines or whatever the laser reads off a little bit. warming it up makes everything expand just enough to be able to read.
when i say cold i mean its 20 or 30 degrees outside, and the cd case has sat in the truck overnight.
