oops, did it again

well, I got the 56 today delivered on Sat , and it looks pretty darn good..the cab is excellent! ( in my sons driveway) the extra bed is from the 54 we are working on..

but as I was goin to FT Worth, I looked on Craiglist and found another parts truck.. er project truck, taken apart, and abandonded.. (with title),

but a good hood, front fenders, running boards and bed walls for the 56

I turned the pile of parts into a truck like thing in less than an hour in 102 degree (115 in the sun)..

tiny bit of corner rust under the gas filler and left front corner fender well side
roof, doors look excellent.. passenger floor to firewall seam is gone, and someone put something on to the firewall, with some hackin..

course I did blow a tire on the trailer (luckily empty), and was able to limp to a Discount tire less than a mile away..

and we didn't buy anything at the swap meet.. (but we could have!)

yeh, she rolled her eyes when I mentioned it on Thursday.. and with a 3 car garage and a neighborhood where you can't put stuff in your yard, 4 project vehicles (and three we drive) is a dangerous thing..

The title and matching chassis are worth what I paid for it, and I think there is enough other stuff to break even on the $150 of gas.
and I THINK the engine might turn, I didn't try it tho.. it has a new oil filter

My storage space for the trailer let me keep it on the trailer for a while. Its only 1/2 mile away..
