Dashboard Airflow control panel
I managed to get the A/C to charge up on my 87 BII. I can feel coolness at the center vent and can hear the fan pushing air around. Can't get the control panel to open vents so air blows out of either the panel vents or the defroster vents. Can't feel anything binding and control seems to be sliding smoothly. But nothing happens.
Recirc/fresh air flap works perfect.
Any ideas on where to start unsticking flaps? if I can get the cool air to blow in driver's face tehn maybe I can sell this beast!

Remove the radio and watch it pulling the cable on the housing (top) behind the glove box. This will allow you to try moving it by hand too.
Remove the resistor under the hood and see if the passage way is clogged with leafs and such.
