my fil picked me up this morning and toke me to a bone yard thats been closed for several years that he has permission to enter and i got a 9in rear end and a nice c4 tranny for 75 bucks and we got lucky the 9in will go right in no mods that we can see the spring perches are the same as the oem ye ha im calling that progress
The spring perches on a 9" should be wider than stock F-1? Did someone mod them already? You will also need to shorten your driveshaft. Still a good score! What ratio is the 9"?
think its a 3.00 the numbers on the tag are wdm-ag-1mb 3.00 9 343a ya but narrowing perches is easy compared to some other stuff and my best friend owns a tranny shop and said hed redo the c4 for nothing and has all the parts from other kits so thay free to so for today i a happy camper and the wife sandblasted on the frame for awhile this morning till it got hot out
Now that's a good wife.... I thought just being allowed to keep the truck at the house instead of in storage was good for mine. Might have to show her this post about sandblasting.
