1952 F7 Big Job parts
Hello all,
This is my first post.
I am the (pick one) proud/stupid new owner of a 1952 Ford F7 big job truck. I am the second owner. The first owner had a portable welding business and quit working about 10 years ago.
Sometime in the early 1990s he had an IVECO turbo Diesel installed in place of the original engine. This suits me fine as I am no hardcore collector.
I'm trying to find out if there is a source for things like the rubber gaskets, windows and trim parts for the F7. My assumption is no but I thought I'd ask the pros.
I'll be rebuilding the truck with a frame off restoration (the body is in really great shape) but dont intend to try to keep everything original.
Thanks for any advice or help. I'm sure I'll be looking for a front fender soon too.

Welcome to the board! sounds like a "big" project. I think most of the cab rubber is the same as the F1. Try LMC. LMC Truck Parts: Chevy Chevrolet Blazer S10 GMC Jimmy S15 Ford Bronco Ranger Pickup Pick Up Accessories/Catalogs

Welcome to the best place on the web!
I was trying to give away a pair of front fenders from a 51 f-7 a few months ago! I have since sold the truck. the new owner just wanted the truck for the drivetrain on a 49 f-7 so maybe he wont need the fenders?? I could contact him if you would like, just let me know.
PS where are you located? shipping those could cost a small fortune!
the cabs, doors stuff like that is all universal for the most part between 48-52 f-1 through f-8
Dennis Carpenter
LMC Truck
and others I can't think of right now!
good luck with it.

Welcome to FTE
Look on this page for links for the following FTE sponsors.
All sell parts for your truck. Their catalogs can be downloaded.
BLUE OVAL TRUCK PARTS / MAR-K / MAC'S ANTIQUE AUTO PARTS / NATIONAL PARTS DEPOT / AUTO KRAFTERS
btw: The quality of lmc's repro parts is suspect (Chinese made goods) and lmc is not an FTE sponsor.

Lou - First, let me add my welcome. Glad to have you hanging around.
Something else to think about are your wheels. If you have Dayton style demountable rims, you're a lucky man. They are repairable or replaceable with modern rims like any other demountable application. If you have Budds it's a different matter. Ford is the only, and I mean only, manufacturer to use the 8 lug x 10" circle bolt pattern. There were three different mounting systems used to my knowledge. Two Firestone and one Goodyear. The Firestone's were either the RH-5° version that have come to be termed "widow makers". Nobody will work on them. There was also a three piece Firestone lock ring/side ring design termed simply a R-5°. They should still be serviceable if that's what you have. There was also a Goodyear LW design that is the best of the three. It's a lock ring design that is still used today for some applications. Also, starting in 1956 and going into the mid 60s there were one piece tubeless rims made with your bolt pattern. You probably don't have them on the truck, but if you do you're real fortunate. They are hard to find but worth the effort. You might do a forum search for "widow maker", Firestone RH-5°, and multi-part rims. Stu
