Has Ford ever stepped up to the plate for this problem? I've heard and it's happend to family members that plugs have blown out with costly repairs following and Ford has not done a thing about this problem. I've been a ford guy all my life and if they haven't I'll surely purchase something else for the first time in my life.
If you have any news about this issue I would be greatful to hear about it.
Thanks
I have a ford f150 5.4 4x4 xlt s cab and have been very happy with it but I guess I'm just a lucky one.
The sparkplug issue is a small one in the Ford truck fleet. It does happen to a handle of trucks but the majority never have the problem. The problem can usually be fixed without a big repair bill or pulling the heads. You can find a lot of information about it in this forum.
If you want to purchase something else, well, that is your choice but I would suggest researching the vehicle you want to buy before you buy it. There are trucks out there with problems that are much more common and more expensive.
