Not that this needs to be beaten to death - but I have seen the bumper brackets on these trucks. I THINK it was my 77 2wd crew. Either that or the 73 F-250 trailer special HAD bumper brackets. One truck did, one truck did not when I went to trade/switch bumpers on the trucks. I can't remember what had what, nor can I confirm that it came from the factory that way, but I know what I saw. It's just too bad I don't have either of the trucks anymore to go take pictures for you guys.
Also - give number a break. As he said he is donating his time to help. He makes a good point with trying to get what he does for us out of a local stealership. Luckily I have some decent parts people (best one is a lady) locally, because I know I have dealt with some of the "don't give a damn" types quite often...
Weve been through this before just because it has a listing for a part in the parts catalog dosent mean its the right part or the same part especially when your dealing with Ford. Dont get me wrong here Im a Ford guy I bleed Ford blue when I cut myself working on Chevys and Dodges. I mead no disrespect to Numbersdummy. I know for a fact hes a fine parts man and a allround good guy for doing what he does to help out. I allso know I have three fords at home and I know that I have a 73 f250 2wdcrewcab with the said front brackets, a 74 F100 4x4 without brackets and the bumper bolts stright to the frame rails and a 76 F250 4X4 (not 2wd) that looks just like my 74 F100 4X4 does. Here is what I think, is that F250 2wds got brackets and F250 4wds dident at least 76 and later. Ths is easy to prove just go and look at the one you have and post up. Also my 76 has a 351m in it which could mean its a late 76.
