All of the rest of the lights work. I have checked the fuses and they all look good. It don't matter if I try the four plug or the seven both work the same. Is there any thing else that I can check out before I start chasing wires? Thanks for you help!
I would check the pins with a muti meter to see if you have power at the running light pin. I'm sure you know that you have a seperate fuse box for your trailer connections. Mine is an 04 and is under the hood. My truck lights worked but the trailer did not.
The 2004, due to its redesign from 2003, is fundamentally different from the previous generation. Nothing is the same as far as the specifics of any of the circuitry.
For the 2000, check fuse F5 under the hood, also, try swapping the relays for the running and backup lamps.
Put your finger on the running lamp relay and see if you can feel it click when the lights are turned on. This will tell you it it's getting it signal when it's supposed to.
