Why do..........

popups on this board effect my computer, and they don't on other boards? I have trouble signing on, and also moving around inside the board. It sometimes locks the computer up, and other times threads won't open. jd

i dont get'm either. maybe check your setting about pop ups

Also check for spyware..

If you don't run any spyware blockers install spybot search and destroy..

Pop ups are third party, get adaware to get rid of them.

Webroot Spysweeper is also an excellent product. It's gotten rid of a couple bugs Adaware couldn't even find using the latest definitions.

It has integrated anti-virus now too. First detection/prevention software I've ever actually paid money for. Well worth it.

You are only getting pop ups on this web site. That doesn't make sense as it should be on others too. What are they advertising? You have gotten some good advice above, but I would add Firefox as well.

Tnx for the help. I checked my programs and found adware and starware. I deleted them, and haven't had a problem today. Hopefully, this was the problem. I don't know why it only effected this board.
