It is too bad you can,t find a guy with a tractor trailer self loader to haul it for you. You could use your truck to drag the logs in one area and have a self loader load and haul it for you instead of say 10 of your loads 1 or two with a big truck.

I know a company up here that would pay big bucks for that oak

Manual trans should be fine.
It really depends on how dry the wood is. I just hauled 3 cords of oak without going over 5k net. but you could go over that with less than a cord of wet stuff.
I'd reccommend you play it safe.
Ono- where is Igo,Ca? are you up in mendocino or?? i heard that whole area is on fire (basically).
as of sunday night- i had 6 or 7 fires within a 30 minute drive. wouldnt be surprised if kawa was packing his stuff up sunday night- he had one probably about 15-20 miles away...

For work I pulled our grout sprayer to oregon from boise total weight was 28,000 never really had a problem with it until the hills then it was a good slow ride to the top. Glad that I had the gauges could have easily just laid into her then watched her stop running all together. Did go 70 75 on interstate without a problem though.

I just figured that from anywhere in north CA you could probably see at least a dozen easy! I want to go play but I'm laid up with a bum ankle (and to much to do to take a 2 week assignment in Cali).

well, i dont know about that. Here in GV i cant see anything because of the smoke... lol
Im not a firefighter, but i know enough of em... I've been trying to find a good deal on a water truck with a pump. cali has the emergency equipment rental program. $1600 a day with driver for up to a 12 hr day. most calls are 2-3 weeks... that's some serious cash fast.

None taken. We didn't have any Polar Bears to protect so we decided on Oak trees.

Great line. We try to "save" everything here, then invite illegals in and give it away.
