Window Cable
Wondering if anybody has installed a new window cable on their power windows. One of the plastic holders that holds the cable at the end broke and the cable got kinked all around the motor. Being a steel cable, the kinks cant be smoothed out and it needs to be replaced.
I have heard the cable is under extreme tension when functioning and am wondering if the new cable installation is doable, making sure that the tension is held when the new cable is installed?
I would hate for a dealership to have to do it, in fact if it comes to that, it will probably just stay as it is with rubber wedged in it to hold the window up.
