Well it finally warmed up enough to "roll " the windows down today, and pop! the rear passenger window wont go back up. I did a search but most of the window issues seem to be with the fronts
I am guessing the motor assembly is different on the rears, no gears, just cable that is broken and all tangled amongst the drive pulley. Any advice on where to attach the cable ends when I buy a new one?...sorta figure the entire motor/cable assembly will need to be replaced as well as the nylon guide bushings but just couldnt quite see where the cable attaches (mirror and flashlight).
guess I could pull apart the other door to compare but thought someone might save me the effort.
any help is appreciated
The cable and metal assembly is called a window regulator. I had to change the rear drivers side in my '92 explorer. I suspect it is probably the same as a 93. The regulator is only available from Ford and the motor is seperate. My motor was fine. If you change it, the one odd thing you'll need to get is a 1/4 inch pop rivet kit. The 1/4 inch pop rivets can be difficult to find, but some car parts places have them.
