Yankin Out The Raido..

I know that ford makes a tool to pull the raido out of the dash.. but in my 95 f-150 i just used 4 small screwdrivers to do the trick... i was wondering if they have changed the design from the older raido's to the new ones... i have a 2001 f-150 Ex. cab Lariat.. ( Got everything BUT the Cd player ) i already have the kit all ready to go with my Alpine Cd player... Just Cant Get the orginal raido out... And does the exsisting Cd player have RcA Hookups for an amp?? Thanks

I think they are the same, the tools are about $4 at walmart. I have also heard of people using bent up coat hangers too.

I don't know I have a 2002 F-150 and I can't get the radio out either I have tried the tool and the clothes hanger deal and nothing works . Ford can not even tell me how to get it out . I would really like some help in getting mine out also...
