Footbrake light

The brakelight on the dash does not light up when the footbrake is on. I already searched for a switch on the pedal but could not find anything. Any clues? Thnx in advance for help

Check your fuses.

Fuses are fine (checked them, also the brake light goes on when you turn the key to the start position) I'm more on the side thinkink of a faulty / stuck switch, which I can,t find, somewhere close to the pedal that triggers the light. Thanks anyway!

It's on the parking brake bracket right at the bottom of the front dash panel, just to the left of the brake release handle. You can just fit your finger in there and feel it.

Tanks alloro! Was tough to find. Also it was only stuck, so a little WD40 helped out. Again, those guys at Ford think that you dump the car after a few years! I'm glad it was only stuck because replacing it would have been a pain in the a$$. I'ts must be impossible to replace without taking apart half of the dashboard! Let me tell you that if it was broken I would have lived with it instead of replacing. Maybe it would be in my "replace list" if I really had to pull out the dash. Simple thing hard job!
