hey guy's

hey guys, im new to the this place, and i have a question that some of you may be able to help out with. i have a 2006 F350 that has a Preditor Chip, 4" MBRP exhaust, and the K&N Air Box. when we first put it in the truck we drove about 30 miles and the fuel millage went up drastically. (13.2 MPG to 17.7MPG) it stayed that way for about 2 days. it then started to drop like a rock, and now we are around 14.6 - 15.0. does any one know why it went back down. i relise some of the problem is because we were on it hard from a while, beings it had more power, but we haven't 'beat' on it in over 3 weeks. any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the group. I think I know the answer, but are you getting your mileage info off the truck lie-o-meter or did you do a hand calc to figure it out?

well for the most part i am going off the in dash meter, but i did check it once with a calc. before i added all the performance stuff, and it came out to 15.2 MPG. i really haven't checked it after i put the performance stuff on. i just filled up so i will check it next time i fill it up at the pump.

when you add a programer it can screw with the indash mileage and in my experience makes it read higher than you are truly getting. only way to be sure is to hand calculate.
