when will heads for the 6.0 be available again.

my truck is down for the count til some turn up.

Did you try to order a set? Are your old ones trash? You can have a machine shop resurface the heads, I took .009 off of mine and that is the limit. Ford specs are .002

why are they not available? thats not a good idea on ford/International's part.

Wow... I would have been pissed off if I decided to order a set of heads and they were not available...

You're kidding, there are no heads available from International/Ford for the 6.0? Wow. I hope the heads on my truck, which is in service, are ok otherwise I'm SOL.

I had the heads replaced with reman. ones and developed a problem within 600 m.

there are certain heads that have been recalled, mainly the ones I put on my truck

and now the entire stock with a certain mfg. date.

so from what I hear demand far exceeds supply

they are going to have to come from the dealer since they are replacing the ones that were *****, but I'll keep that in mind

I just had one head replaced on my 6.0L a couple weeks ago.

There was a batch of remanufactured heads and blocks that did not pass spec.

This concern could reduce customer satisfaction.

1. ACTION REQUESTED - HEADS

Isolate and quarantine all stock part number 3C3Z-6049-CARM with package label date codes prior to 8/31/07, and contact your Powertrain Distributor to coordinate an exchange.
Resume sales of all stock of 3C3Z-6049-CARM with a package date code of 8/31/07 and later.

See attachment for picture of label and date location.

2. ACTION REQUESTED - ENGINES

Isolate and quarantine all stock on hand of the part numbers below with package label date codes from 6/28/07 through 8/7/07, and contact your Powertrain Distributor to coordinate an exchange.
Resume sales of engines with package label date codes that fall outside the 6/28/07 to 8/7/07 window.

Maybe they are bowed up like a canoe, just like every other set of 6.0 International heads I've worked on in the past 6 months....

on mine the valve guides were too tight on cyl. #7 causing the valves to sieze up when it got hot , then bent pushrod , broken rocker arm , & other bits & pieces
