Low Boost
I was pulling my trailer yesterday (15,000#), up a long grade. The first half of the grade I was maintaining 60-65 mph at 3/4 throttle, it was 90 degrees outside, and the fans were running pretty hard, boost was about 35-38 lbs. The road then flattens out for about 2 miles, & then another long climb, on the second climb the truck would only boost 20-25 lbs. @ 3500 Rpm. I backed out of the throttle & got back into it still same boost numbers. All guages read normal no warning lights on. Do these trucks defuel if egt's get too high? All my boots are tight & truck seems to be running fine. Any info is appreciated.
