Id love to see the D44/9" hold up to xmls.

A D60/D70 combo with some good 4340 shafts in the front (by good I do not mean yukon) and CTM joints could probably survive. Dont waste your time with a 60 rear. Id look into gears in the 5.13-5.38 range with a few engine/tranny/driveshaft mods.

I was afraid of the back being too weak.i guess i'll put that 14bolt in the rear.Or can't i bore out the d60 for 35 slinerz?

Are you saying that a stock D60 rear won't hold up to about a 35 inch tire?

Am I missing something here?

I personally like the Sterling 10.25, but was wondering why you would say a D70 for a 35-36 inch tire.

Never mind. I didn't realize that they are almost 38".

I wouldnt waste my time/money boring a 60 out for 35sp 70 shafts when you have a 14bt already. The 9" can be made to handle the stress but again it cant be built to handle it as cheap as building the 14bt.

The only downside of a 14bt other than being a chebby part is they are mighty big pigs. You might consider shaving it. 46s will have about the same ground clearance as 40s compared to a 60/70
