Is there any way to improve the turning radius of an 03 F250? I love my truck but the turning is rediculus, worse than any other truck out there. I've looked at the front end and they have a long steering bump stop that could be shortend with a grinder but I'm not sure if this would cause damage to anything else, don't look like it would but I know somebody in here will know for sure.
You'll reach a point where your tires are rubbing on the leafs. The only way I can think of to significantly decrease the turn radius is to put in a coil over front end.
I was just curious if it was possible to improve them or not, it's pretty sad that my Dad's full size dump truck will turn a tighter circle then his dually and probably tighter than my 250. I was thinking that a spacer behind the wheel would move the tire out away from the spring then removing some of the steering stop would let the wheel turn a little more. Probably not enough to ever notice but I was hoping someone in here had found a miracle cure for our 12 city block turning radius trucks.
ok, so we talked about cutting steering stops, installing coil over front end, what about smaller tires. i know that thats not really an option but, well, rear steer it is...lol....
On wild ideas, shorting the wheel base and track width will certainly help. Cut off the bed and bolt the rear axle just behind the bed, swap in jeep axles and lift the frame so tires fit under it.
A line lock on the front brakes could help, lock the front wheels and give the rear a lot of power, it will shift one way or another.

Spacers are not a good idea either. They will put additional stress on your front hub assemblies and they are big bucks to replace. ($300-$400 just for the parts each side)
You have to have the axle, suspension and steering from a 05+ truck and drill some holes to mount some of the bracketry.
Been done on quite a few trucks.

I wouldn't recommend the Fabtech or run it on my truck. The Full Traction is a much better designed and construction kit in terms of adjustability and suspension geometry.
