Surging idle, dying, won't idle good etc
A cure if you have idle problems. It would not have done a bit of good to try to clean the IAC valve. First thing I did was check the resistance of the coil. There was none. Meaning it was burned out ie. had an open. Replaced it with an older version I had, and it runs great. So with suspected Idle air control valve problems make sure to check that the solenoid windings are okay first. Just thought I'd share this.
