'03 Fuel Problem??
I'm so glad I came across this forum. I am brand new to this group. I look forward to visiting often with this bunch!! I have a problem with my '03 6.0 liter. It runs fine for the most part then out of no where it seems as if I have a fuel problem. Last night I came to a stop at an intersection. When the light turned green, I stepped on the go peddle and the truck started to run rough like it was starved for fuel. When I punched the go peddle a few times and then down to the floor it was fine. It then happened again about a mile later at another intersection. Any ideas?

When was the fuel filter changed last? I harpooned my tank and found an unknown problem while the tank was out. There was a little rubber check valve looking thing that was a couple inches above the suction screen that had come loose. I think this allowed the pump to suck air even though there was a couple inches of fuel left in the tank. Dropping the tank isn't that big of a job and you can do the harpoon mod while you have it out if you decide to check the tank.
