Truck problems

Had a little trouble last week pulling my camper. Got two coded 1247 turbo boost pressure low and 1248 turbo boost pres not detected. I replaced the Ic boots and map sensor. I think maybe my turbo probably just went south.EGT's climb very very fast with the truck and no camper. Any thoughts? BTW boost gauge doesnt show anything.

You can remove the intake tube, grab the compressor shaft on the turbo, and give it a wiggle. If there's excessive play, then the turbo is gone. If it's tight and spins easily, then you just have a really big boost or exhaust leak to track down.

Doesn't sound good have you taken off the intake and checked the turbo out?

Pocket you beat me to it, make sure the truck has cooled down before you grab the compressor shaft.

My dumb *** didn't check the IC boots after the first run. The right boot wasn't tight enough and pop off. I tightened it back down and it appeares everything is back to normal. No codes detected as well. Truck seems a little more firmer maybe I had a leak and didn't know it.
