On a different note, whose gonna throw one piece of steel that weighs exactly 660 pounds on their tailgate?
I do it every day just to prove to the Tundra owners that it can be done. Yeah, the truck did catch on fire and is sitting in my driveway...But I still go out every day and drop 660 lbs on the tailgate. You've got to have your priorities straight...
Haven't had the need to load groceries using the tailgate. That is what the back seat is for.
That said, I can walk around on the tailgate while loading and unloading various bits of furniture, fire wood, dead animals, tools, etc. So it seems strong enough for my use.
I do have to admit that I am a little jealous of that nifty Ford F150 BBQ grill option, if only they could get the bugs worked out it would be a great feature for any kind of camping or tailgating related cooking.
