Oh No!!!!!!!

well now i'v gone and done it. just bought a 63 econo pickup, which i'm installing 5.0 HO F.I. motor and AOD trans out of a 90 mark vii. So i was thinking one or two of you guys have probably done this already and i might just skate right in and soak up all your knowledge. HA HA. anyway, got the motor/trans sitting inthere & now am trying to figure out the motor mounts and trans crossmember. any ideas?? what about a 66-67 trans crossmember? I also have been researching the several engine harness builders out there. Anyone have any imput on good ones/ bad ones..any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

What you need is a engine crossmember from a 65-67 econoline and the crossmember mounting tabs that are welded to the frame. You need to modify the engine mounts that are on the crossmember. Or you can make your own cross member. I bought a 62 that had a 302/3speed in it and the guy had quarter L brackets welded to the frame and fabricate arms that mounted to the motor. He used pancake style motormounts between the L bracket and arms that he had made. I still have the arms if you would like some photos.
You could buy a universal transmission Crossmember from summit for around $70.00.
