Looking 4 Cheap Posi !!!
I don't trust stuff like that. If it was that cheap, reliable, safe, effective, that's the way limited slips would be built.
Call me silly.....
My "Traction Loc"(!) still turned both tires the same direction and still
worked pretty dangged good at ~200,000. No kidding. Only thing really
wrong was the pinion's pilot bearing surface was Brinelled pretty bad.
I had a little trouble with the carrier bearing preload tho. :/
Nothing a quick check by a professional wouldn't have fixed. :)
I followed Ford's Shop Manual's directions very carefully too, made myself a
fixture and everything.
Since then I found this gem... ! :)
Carrier preload...
YouTube - not enough carrier preload
YouTube - too much carrier preload
YouTube - carrier preload
Pinion preload...
YouTube - pinion preload
But first... this is simple as falling off a log...

Made a tool from a "normalized" old file...

The holes were threaded, 5/16" grade 5 bolts screwed down tight to the end
of their threads and a jam nut added, then they were cut off. The tool is too
short, so needs a cheater pipe when you get down to the point he's at in the
video. :)
First thing!
...using a center punch mark the crap out of everything. :)
If this stupid ugly old Gringo can do it...

PS- "it's easy when you know how" :)
