Question Side Steps

I'm looking at replacing my chrome side steps with some black ones. I can't decide which ones to get. Can those of you with side steps in black or steps that come in black post up some pics to help me decide?

Thanks!

Bear, yeah I wish I could justify the cost of them, but they are way to pricey for me. Plus I have my air horns mounted under there anyway.

DAFBFD58, what size are those? I looked up a couple part numbers and one is for 4" rails and one is for 5". The 5" are a lot more money.

Greetings, riggz

If you replace your steps, what are you going to do with the old ones?

I am in desperate need of the black insert that you step on when entering the vehicle. Ford says that the only way I can get one from them, is to buy a whole new step!

Anyway, let me know if you can.
Thanks a bunch,
Mike

that is what I would do. Probably wouldn't cost a hundred bucks to have it done!

If you decide to change steps, let me know what you are going to do with the old ones, OK? I need the black step insert, I lost one of mine.
Thanks,
Mike

because i hate they way they look. the L brackets that hold them on are too obtrusive. they hang down another inch below the bar.

as for the old ones i'll put em up on craigslist locally to see if they sell, if not i'll see what i can do about the insert. you probably have a different step rail though. these inserts run the length of the bar.

Yep, You are right, mine are different. I'm either going to have to bite the bullet and buy 1 rail from the dealer for $350 or do what your doing and replace both. Thanks for the reply, Mike

Honestly I don't know. I bought them for like 80 bucks from a friend of a friend who put on the extra long N-Fabs on his truck.
