@*^$@*&%^@*$^ Tree!!!

OK It isn't that bad ...kinda....Backup up a gooseneck horse trailer last weekend, watching the drivers mirror for directions from a spotter...and CRUNCH!!! There goes the right side mirror on a tree. So I look through Ebay...nothing that really interests me since they are aftermarket with a bunch of bling bling that I could care less for. So......I am on the hunt for an OEM replacement for the right side, Non-telescoping, swings backwards only. Anyone got one they want to sell? Only need the right side...unless someone has a pair of OEM that telescopes...maybe swings both ways, (Oh...that is just asking for trouble in this place!)

Either way....mine are power mirrors....but I wouldn't be against a pair of power telescope ...maybe heated.

I would like to stay OEM with what will fit my truck for easy installation.

Thanks all!

Go to automirror.com. I bought two power, tele, and heated tow mirrors for $200 dollars shipped. They look just like factory excempt they don't say ford.

automirror.com is not a true seller site. just a bunch of BS links to other sites.

Your original post in this thread reminds me of my 2003 Excursion Limited. I had nothing but troubles with the 6.0, as it was an early one, but when the vehicle was less than six months old we bot a place in WPA in the mountains. About the second day there, night, I looked in my mirrors and saw the biggest deer rack or maybe it was an elk, and I couldn't take my eyes from the mirror. Sure enough I cleaned the right mirror on a big oak tree in the cul de sac of our driveway.

The story ends well. That spring, I remember paying the body shop to fix the side of my Excursion when I was in the process of cutting that tree down. From a medical standpoint, it did me good to see that tree get cut up for firewood. I hope you plan something special for the tree that did you in also.

Actually....I didn't completely kill the tree...but it did feel good getting some of the lower branches off to burn in the fire pit.

It was already dead...but still managed to kill my mirror.

Ehhh I don't want to do alot of mods. If I can get power or manual telescope that folds both ways I will be happy. Even happier with heat and/or turn signal.

But if the extras aren't available right now I will settle for a replacement.

LOL But what really tweaks me....if I have 5 people trying to direct me...why only on one side? Although I still blame myself for not checking the other side anyway. ugh....

LMAO!! You guys crack me up.... I am too **** to get past the mirror. The way I see it...the mirror kept me from smashing anything else. As for my 'mon backs.....I actually got one of my horses to kick on over the weekend. He was being stupid and go figure...got behind the horse waving his hands going "'MON BACK!" needless to say...my mare got him for me....hehe
