Cancell that last question - the cover j-u-s-t fits between the panhard bar and the swaybar with the frame jacked up and the axle drooping.
Nudder question - should the cover bolts be installed dry or do they need a sealer? And when I took the bolts out there appeared to be the remenants of somekind of an RTV like little washer under the head of each bolt. Are these special washers or did some one carefully put a bead of RTV under the head of each bolt? And is it necessary?
When I did my Diffs I didnt use any kind of sealer on the bolts, I cleaned them and installed them dry. Also now would be a great time to paint the cover.

Check the flatness of the cover before reinstalling it. I put a thin bead of rtv on my cover just to be safe. I also painted the cover but should have had it powder coated.
