Its true. Thats why I like my 3.08s. For 55 MPH, the RPMs are still good in 3rd. For higher speeds I can use the overdrive, but or towing I lock it out and have a better final drive ratio than 4.10s in overdrive. If I had 3.55s I would probably find myself stuck between gears at 70 MPH, with overdrive being too tall for some conditions, and 3rd reving the engine too high for good economy.
